This package includes head shots, 3/4 and full length shots. Great for talent of all kind, SENIOR PORTRAITS and Couples welcome too! I do not offer sibling discounts. Limit 2 persons per session. Addl session fee applies if more people are needed to be in the same shoot. For ages 4 yrs and up.
PARACHUTE Sessions are 1 LOOK for $575. These shoots are very involved and the edits take much more time to produce.

FAQ
What should I wear for my Head Shot or Model/Casual Session??
Wardrobe can make or break a session. I suggest rich jewel tones to make the images pop. Most agents prefer no white, grey or black, pastels, busy graphics or large logos. Patterns are okay as long as they are small as they tend to be less distracting. Layers are great, especially in colder weather! Make sure clothing is form fitted. It’s generally best to use smaller clothes for shoots that fit well.
For older kids and adults it's important to portray specific character looks with wardrobe instead of just using clothing that you like. Think preppy, sporty, nerd, all american girl next door, business type, soccer mom etc. or whatever types you generally go out for. The character specific outfits should look authentic and not staged or costumed like cosplay. I suggest that you talk to your agent/manager and discuss with them what looks you should be shooting.
Can I bring friends or siblings to my session??
Simply, no. I do not recommend bringing siblings, friends, family, managers, boyfriends or husbands to your shoot as it tends to be very distracting for the person being photographed, especially children. Extra people get in the way and create distractions which makes it difficult to create great photographs.
Do you shoot babies, toddlers or twins?
I no longer work with kids that are 3 years old or younger. 4 and up only. 4 yr olds must be able to sit and take direction well.
If you have twins and you need shots together they must be 6 years or older.
Where do you shoot?
I offer NATURAL LIGHT sessions on location outdoors in Jackson, TN and a few nearby cities. I will travel to Nashville, Memphis for an added travel fee of $75.
How do retouched edits differ from unedited proofs?
Think of it as perfecting everything in an image and making the image pop. Removing fly away hairs, enhancing colors, cleaning up skin etc. All packages include a certain amount of complimentary basic retouches in AJ's signature style and additional ones can be purchased as an add on. I also offer advanced retouching that you can use to remove heavy acne, whiten or fill in missing teeth.
Do you offer discounts?
I DO NOT offer SIBLING discounts and I do not split sessions between siblings.
Returning clients that need new photos or just want to add an extra look outdoors within 6 months from previous session can book a SINGLE look session for ONLY $150. POLICIES
Deposit
HOLDING FEE/BALANCE DUE
$100 non-refundable holding fee is required to reserve an appointment. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session and must be paid in CASH ONLY, so please prepare for that in advance.
The amount will be applied to your balance the day of the shoot. Once deposit is received, A.JohnsonPhotography will reserve the agreed upon date and time .
Reshoot /Reschedule
RE-SHOOT & RESCHEDULE
I will only offer a FREE re-shoot/reschedule in the case of technical issues on my part and due to sudden inclement weather.
Free re-shoots will NOT be offered for reasons such as clients clothing choice, dissatisfaction of makeup/hair, client facial expressions, uncooperative subjects (including grumpy kids) or things beyond the photographers control.
LATE
LATE ARRIVALS
If you are late for your shoot, this will result in less shoot time and fewer images/looks as I may have another client scheduled after you. If you are over 20 minutes late, this is considered a cancellation and will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
SICKNESS
SICKNESS POLICY
I DO NOT work with sick people. Due to the fact that I primarily work in close proximity with children, to protect myself and other clients, my sick policy will be strictly observed and any person showing obvious signs of illnesses will be asked to leave and will result in losing your holding fee. If you or your child is contagious, had a fever or been throwing up within 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, you will need to cancel your session. Sick people don't do well on shoots and it will result in unusable images that will need to be reshot. You want to be in the best health and mood to get the very best images.
AFTER Your Session....
About 10 business days after your photoshoot you will receive the lightly processed unretouched high resolution proofs in a downloadable password protected online gallery from which you can select your favorites to retouch. I also offer a rush delivey service as an add on option that will allow you to recieve your gallery 24-48 business hours after your session if you are in a hurry. Usually the agent/manager selects the favorites, so I would recommend forwarding them the gallery and asking their opinion as well. Once those are selected I will retouch them and email you the web sized versions to use for the casting sites and email. All high res proofs and print size edits will be added to your webgallery so you can download and use right away.
